James Langan, CPA

Langan is a Director at Brevet Capital, where he serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Funds, Chair of the Valuation Committee and Head of Investor Servicing. He oversees fund finance, valuation governance, and investor reporting and operations. He joined Brevet in November 2025. Before joining Brevet, he was a Managing Director and Head of Investor Servicing at Cerberus Capital Management. Previously, he was a Director at BlackRock, where he served as Controller for the Global Private Credit business. Earlier, he spent 21 years at Goldman Sachs, where his roles included Head of Valuations for Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Controller for the Currencies and Commodities businesses. Langan holds a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York.
